Terms of Service

Effective August 16, 2026

These Terms govern your use of ScoutFox, including its Discord commands, tracked-player features, automated posts, scorecards, and this website. By inviting or using ScoutFox, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

ScoutFox is an unofficial Discord bot for League of Legends communities. It retrieves account, match, timeline, and ranked data through Riot Games services and turns that data into scorecards, live lobby notices, recent form charts, and server recaps.

Features can change, be limited, or be removed at any time. ScoutFox is currently provided free of charge.

2. Server tracking

Tracking is configured as a Discord server resource. When an authorized user runs /track, ScoutFox stores the selected Riot identity, the Discord server and channel, and related operational identifiers so it can detect and post new games.

  • Server members are responsible for choosing which public Riot IDs to track.
  • A track can be removed with /untrack.
  • Removing ScoutFox from a server stops future Discord activity for that server.
  • Automated delivery can be delayed or missed because of API limits, outages, or indexing delays.

3. Scores and generated analysis

ScoutFox impact scores, MVP and ACE labels, form summaries, and other analysis are original estimates produced by scoring heuristics. They are not official Riot ratings, ranked measurements, disciplinary findings, or objective judgments of a player.

Scores can be incomplete or inaccurate because of missing data, unusual game modes, remakes, API changes, or limitations in the scoring model. Use them for entertainment and discussion, not harassment.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use ScoutFox to:

  • Harass, threaten, dox, stalk, impersonate, or target another person.
  • Scrape, overload, disrupt, or bypass limits applied by ScoutFox, Riot Games, or Discord.
  • Exploit bugs, probe infrastructure, obtain credentials, or interfere with other servers.
  • Resell Riot API data or use the Service in a way that violates Riot or Discord policies.
  • Present ScoutFox as an official Riot Games or Discord product.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or block users and servers that abuse the Service or create operational, legal, or security risk.

5. Third-party services

ScoutFox depends on Riot Games, Discord, and public game-asset services. Your use of those platforms remains subject to their policies, including:

  • Riot Games Terms of Service
  • Riot Games API Terms
  • Riot Games Privacy Notice
  • Discord Terms of Service
  • Discord Privacy Policy

6. Intellectual property

ScoutFox's original software, scoring methods, written content, and visual presentation belong to its operator or applicable licensors. Riot Games owns its trademarks, artwork, champion names, game data, and related properties. Discord owns its respective platform and marks.

ScoutFox does not grant you rights to copy, sell, or redistribute its proprietary scoring implementation or branding.

7. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee a specific uptime, response time, feature set, data region, retention period, or continued availability. Maintenance, rate limits, outages, and third-party changes may interrupt the Service.

8. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScoutFox is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, complete, accurate, or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of ScoutFox will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or access arising from use of the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability relating to the free Service will not exceed the amount you paid to use it during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Ending use

You may stop using ScoutFox by removing tracked players and removing the bot from your server. We may suspend or discontinue the Service, remove data, or revoke access when reasonably necessary.

11. Updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
